1200 Bit Of Info Please

  1. Finally got to MotoRapido yesterday and can confirm that a 1200s with skyhook can be ridden by someone with short legs.
Couple of questions: Do all 1200s's come with an LED headlight, if not from what year. Do they all have a quickshifter, again, if not from what year. Been spoilt by one on the Supersport 939. Same question about the colour dashboard.
Thanks to George at MotoRapido for moving all the bikes around and playing with the seat options for me.

  2. I think the first 1200s with leds was the 2013 twin spark, but that was only on dip beam. The 2015 DVT came with a full set of leds and cornering lights too. Neither had a quickshifter but you can get aftermarket though not sure if they go down as well as up. The 1260s is the first model to have a quickshifter as standard. Coloured dashes came in with the first DVT, as above, in 2015.

  3. Thanks for that makes my search easier.

  4. If you have SLS, DVT is better

  5. I could be wrong, but I think there are a number of differences between S and non-S versions of the 1200 DVT.

The S has coloured dash, the standard (non S) bike hasnt.
S has 330mm front discs and M50 monoblock calipers, the non-S has 320mm discs and lesser spec calipers.

S has cornering lights, non-S doesnt.
The standard bike also didnt have the blue-tooth unit (no big deal unless you really want it)
