As you may have seen, I picked up an ex-trioptions cup bike recently. I had it out at Donny a couple of weekends ago and had a blast on it... Absolute dream bike 2011 848 Evo bike has been race prepared and fitted with some amazing performance parts including Ohlins TTX Rear Shock, Ohlins Fork Cartridges, Ohlins Steering Damper, Sigma Performance Slipper Clutch, Akrapovic Exhaust Cans, Lightech Rear Sets, Evo Tech Brake and Clutch Levers, Brembo Clubman Race Disks, Active Quick Action Throttle, Brembo Carbon Ceramic Race Pads, GB Racing Engine Case Covers, Red Samco Silicon Race Hoses, R&G Under Fairing Crash Bungs Blueprinted and custom mapped at 138bhp today I was tucked up in my new garage with the DAS-6 Polishing machine making it a bit prettier. Removing some crappy stickers and giving it a first going over with the polish. First polish today
In all honesty it's a 6' looker. Not an inspection close-up bike. There's marks on the frame on the RHS from gravel, there's fairing marks and marks where the masking tape was removed too early by previous owner.. But.. from 6' away it looks lovely However having a clean bike for me requires 0 patience, it's all down to want, desire and pleasure, I honestly REALLY enjoy cleaning bikes, stripping down completely, removing all the fairngs, wheels etc and making it as nice as possible... I get lots of pleasure from it. Even more so now it's my own garage in my new house there's a long term winter plan for a carbon 22L tank along with full new paintwork and some carbon bits.. but they're a fair few trackdays out in the distance of time. Drop the bike off in 2 weeks for delivery to Portimao, which is where I'm REALLY looking forward to some bonding time with the 848. (But thanks for the compliment)
Little bit of carbon today, another polish and a layer of wax put on as well. Got a minor old leak on the lower screen filter cover which is an irritation but have done my best to seal it for now. Bike goes to Portimao on Saturday.
