Interested if anyone has done any graphics/transfer changes too their black bikes.love the bike but sometimes think it may benefit from a bit of panel bling!
I've just noticed where your number plate lives, something I never noticed when I was looking at the other pictures you've posted. It fits in nicer with the endurance look, than a stocker hanging off the back. Do you get much attention from the plod with it up there, is it iluminated? I might not be camera friendly either
Haha it is rather cheeky isn't it. Yeah its illuminated via an LED mounted where the OEM hanger shoots out from. I've been pulled for it and given a £60 fine but I was on the way back from BSB at Cadwell so asking for it really lol.
What didn't they like? The size or the angle? It's the same at Barton bike night, they lie in wait for noisy cans n small number plates. :frown:
I seldom go to any BIG bike meets as my bike is as kosher as Christmas. He did me for size, technically, as its 6.5" x 4" but he pulled me due to the position, then remembered there isn't much in the letter of the law dictating the position. Lol
I had mine done by Zero One Race FX near York. They did all the design, cut and fit. They know their onions and do a vast selections of levels for wraps. From little decals right up to full fairing wraps. Doc John the road racing bike mounted Medic has his bike done by them, this year a KTM RC8R. Along with many many road racing and BSB teams.
I was thinking it must have been size, but I asked because my m8 had an mot failure because the plate was at the "wrong angle" on his gixxer, I thought I was just the tester being a knob, thats why I was curious as to the plods problem with it. Yeah....sorry sir but your rear number plate must be.....erm be on the back! He fitted some spacers behind the plate to change the angle and hey presto it passed.
Tester being a knob by the sounds of it dude unless it was proper taking the piss lol. I know a lad who has a decal plate on his under-tray on a Gixer. Nigh on invisible lol.
If that's in reference to mine, it's not as pricey as you'd imagine. All in for all the decal work for the belly pan, mid panels and nose it was £220 + VAT for design, cut and fit. Compared to the paint on the seat unit alone which was £300 in all.
Had this done by fella that does a few for Ducati Manchester , not everyone's taste but didn't want a permanent change
