1200 DVT Black Canister Thing

  1. 1200 DVT 2016 sport touring

    So here I am working my way around the bike bit by bit, left hand side in front of the gear change is a black square canister thing, what is it?

    How much of a pain is it change the air filter?

  2. It’s to do with fuel emissions I believe. As for for the air filter it’s tank panels off.

  3. Leave that alone then.

    I have got the side panels off plus the long black ones each side but then I can’t get anything else off, well not without breaking something by pulling to hard.

  4. It’s the charcoal canister for cleaning the fuel tank emissions, basically fuel vapour....
    The air filter on the DVT is under the tank. Not just a panel off job, you need to take the tank off
