Stunning bike, me want. But here's the crux for me. Look at the place, a veritable palace of consumption in chrome, glass and marble; it a bike FFS, not a pare of Gucci pumps. Who do you think the poor shmuck is who is paying for that? No wonder high end Ducs are over 20K. When I see these places, for instance the old place in Hillington in Glasgow, I think of the salesman as this Ewok, and I am sure you wont even get a reach-around to soften the blow! No wonder dealers are saying enough is enough, I know of two ex franchise holding dealers who told some major manufacturers to GTF on this very issue. Its about time that we the consumer told them. I think i might have to stick with my Red v4s, the black looks amazing but i don’t think the bank manager would be too impressed, Have to agree with the earlier quote, “bikes are to be ridden, not ornaments”
I think the best think is to ride the ornament You have to stop worrying about scratches and such too much, then it gets really awesome. I crashed a 998 twice on track. I could blame myself all day, but just to have ridden one of these things on track like that is mind-blowing because that is what they were designed for.
