Hi all, I have a 916. I cold started her today in front of a white coloured wall, and noticed that after a short time the bike was firing small black coloured spots from the exhausts. I’m not sure if it’s oil or fuel (no obvious smell to the spotting) but was obviously alarmed to see it. Has anybody else experienced this? Thanks in advance, D
What did the spots feel like to the touch? oily or watery or 'cokey'. As chrisw said it could well just be water/condensation. What does it look like with a properly warmed engine?
Pretty much everybody with these bikes I expect. With my dual injector 996 I reckon I could outdo Banksy with a shadow print…
My Son's Girlfriend parked her car near my bike workshop door. I got the 916 out for a ride and started it up just a few feet from the side of it - I got a bollocking from my Son when I returned as the car was covered in black spots...
