Well, it seems a 10 year old slipper clutch and 10 year old plates and me don't mix. My 'star spring' ooh matron' has bent a few legs and snapped a few others, also the friction part of some of my clutch plates are falling apart. This is my fault because i've been making the slipper aspect work for its living, I've been told that they're pretty shit and will only last 500-1000 miles if you actually use them. I think age isn't helping either. So what do I replace it with? EVR keeps popping up but they're bloody expensive, however I'd prefer to have a decent setup. Has anyone any suggestions? The 749r/999R is a pretty shitty 3 ramp jobbie
I got one of these on my 1098....No complaints... SYSTEME D'EMBRAYAGE SLIPPER CLUTCH STM ORIGINAL DUCATI 999 S/R | eBay
I'm keen to use a design that gets rid of the spider spring as it seems to be a price/design compromise, has anyone got or used one without the spring?
