916 Blue Air Pressure Sensor

Discussion in '748 / 916 / 996 / 998' started by RC1, Aug 4, 2022.

  1. why is the air pressure sensor on the top of my header tank blue? its a 1994 bike if that matters

  2. Probably been changed at some point. It was a common part back in the day used in bikes and cars. I've seen blue units fitted

  3. cheers mate

  4. Did you buy a 916 in the end?

  5. yes it was a slightly foolish heat of the moment thing

  9. I spy a P8 ecu, an alloy mono subframe, possible Ohlins shock but no yoke plaque…is that a Strada or an SP/SPS?
    ORRR….the holy grail…a Varese??

  15. boggo standard nero or r but at a recession price... i also have some issues re storage but theres always next doors house and a deep desire for an 899 or 959

  16. The rear number board is correct for a mono”s”. Essentially the spec is an sp without the hot cams to meet American emissions rules in certain states. The tapered stripe on the numberboard is correct and only appeared on the original sp and mono s models. Yes the 199 mono s were built at varese.

  17. Both my 94 have blue sensors but the others have black. Probably their first supplier they didn’t pay so changed to some other firm.

  18. I thought my fave member here with a 3 letter name might appreciate these photos...
