I have decided to sell my recently acquired Triple Black due to the impending purchase of a Rallye. I convinced a friend of mine to sell me his Triple Black which he owned from new having purchased it from BMW Park Lane in 2016. He used the bike mainly for touring and recently returned from Portugal and bought a 1250. CONDITION As visible from the pictures the bike is in absolute excellent condition for its age. For a 3 yr old bike with just over 25,000 miles on the clock it is better than many newer bikes with less mileage i viewed when searching for a Triple Black. Its ready for touring having recently been serviced, just jump on and catch the ferry. The black paintwork has deep lustre to it, and looks amazing in the sun and often gets admiring glances from other riders and car drivers alike, commenting on how new it looks. When i tell them it has 25,000 on the clock they look shocked. It really is a testament to the previous owner. He was meticulous in its maintenance. It starts on the button, as you would expect from BMW, is garaged and kept on a trickle charge to keep the battery topped up. I wouldnt have any hesitation jumping on it and taking it to the continent, in fact the previous owner used the bike for Touring mainly. This bike has been stretching its legs on the continent according to the previous owner, which is no bad thing as far as im concerned. It’s why I went for the rallye myself. Fingers crossed it’s in walker next week for delivery week after
Home many miles are too many miles for these GS engines/gearboxes? I see quite a few between 20-30 k but not that many beyond. Is that because people just hold onto them?
My last one did 54,000 miles in 5 years. Ran beautifully and very economical. Returned 56 on an average run
