1260 Bolt Size

  1. on the 1260 multistrada. Theres a mounting bracket fir the Ducati luggage which attaches to the rear foot peg hangers .these are Allen key cap bolts .but does anyone know there size .4 altogether.

  2. I just took one out and it measures M6 x 20. Bloody tight thing it was too :)

  4. The originals are probably threadlocked, it would pay to put a little loctite on te threads when replacing.
    Also don’t for get to measure the thickness of what you are fixing and add that length to the fasteners you are using. 1.5 x thread diameter of thread engagement is the safe minimum.

  5. I would suggest replacing with stainless, the oem ones are made of cheese and the heads round off very easily, as do the front axle pinch bolts ;)

  6. Stainless is a hard material but with low tensile strength, A4 grade stainless bolts are the better bet.
    If you want high tensile strength go for 10.8 or 12.8 grade carbon-steel bolts,
