I am wondering if there is anything special about these 4 hex-head screws, apart from being made from soft cheese!? On trying to remove them, all 4 stripped! Eventually they came out, but obviously I need to replace them and would like to use something of better quality. I take it they are aluminium??? Can I just go to a local shop and buy a replacement of the correct size etc??? Also, given the above, I now fear the drain bolt will do the same. Can anyone recommed a replacement for it too, preferrably with a proper nut rather than the oem slot for an allen key?
Go to your local fasteners place and they will sort you out with quality parts for a fraction of the cost a ‘bike supplier’ will charge. If you don’t have a local one, try CW fasteners, Tamworth. They are local to me and brilliant, they do delivery as well.
