its kind off why we put up with the rain and midges. one good day and it all becomes worth it. is that wester ross? down from ullapool.
Sutherland. First photograph was taken looking south from the causeway at Tongue. The other two were taken on Sandwood Bay just south from Cape Wrath, which required a 4 mile walk both in and out. Scotland on a good day is truly world class.
Up through the borders to Edinburgh (when did they start the second Forth Road Bridge ?), Braemar and the east of the Cairngorms to Inverness. Up to JoG, Duncansby Head, Dunnet Head and across the top to Durness. Down to Ullapool then a blast to Contin Bridge (a brilliant road), on to Inverness and Culloden Battlefield. Back through the Cairngorms and down to Edinburgh, miles of filtering to get to and on from the Forth Road Bridge then home. Four days and three night. Fantastic. Mainly dry and hardly any midgies.
braemar to avimore yip fantastic. done that contin rd last year coming back from orkney. yip fantastic as well. 4th rd bridge been going for about a year now.
Sure looks priddy. Scotland is stunning when the weather is good. Have you been to Fort William?? Fuck me, I didn't think it could rain so hard without a place actually sinking!!
fortbill is defo the wettest part of Scotland quite often it will be raining on the fort side of the bridge and dry on the other.
and the Berlin wall is down, Hadrians is still up....... thats British workmanship for you! ( ok, probably Roman supervisors...)
Scotland is very popular with groups of German and Dutch riders and tourists generally, for some very good reasons.
