Bit of a boring one I know but I can't find decent pictures anywhere. Anyone got a Renthal rear sprocket and gold chain set up on their 1098? If so can you show me a picture? I'm trying to see what it looks like against the lovely silver swingarm. I don't want to spoil it. I'm going to be booking in to get them done soon but need to make sure I order the right thing. If if looks bad I'll see about getting a silver x ring chain and rear sprocket even if it's not anodised. Thanks to whoever can provide. Ben
This is probably useless to you as it's a Streetfighter with a black swing arm, but you get the idea. You could photoshop it silver I suppose
I used to use rentals on the fireblades I had...they wear a little quick, maybe a bit soft? Just but a coloured hub cover and a standard sprocket.
Cheers for those. I have seen these before. It looks mint next to the black frame but I can't picture how it will be next to silver. Haven't got photoshop either. I've always had Renthals before and seemed fine but I only do about 700 miles a year. I'm sure someone out there can pop a few iphone pics up soon??
Cheers for the heads up but I'm getting them fitted at a local garage. I take it you liked the look over standard next to the silver swingarm then?
Yes, plus I got the carrier cheap with a renthal sprocket included with only 500m on it. Thus my decision was made for me economically.
Can you pop up a picture of your silver swinger in a similar angle to the two images above? i can do a better job with that
I would but I only have one picture of the chain and it not really the same angle. I'm away from home or I'd just pop out and get you one. Ill put the picture I do have on.
you don't need a picture , a new chain and sprockets will look 100% better than what you have there. I'll send you a subliminal message it goes something like this . "SPEND" .
That actually looks good. Thanks for doing that. My concern now is the chain as it's a different gold to the sprockets. I may go with a silver x ring chain and those colour sprockets. This is starting to sound very girly with the matching colours but I'm very fussy with details like this.
Am i missing somethimg? Its a chain and sprockets...long as you don't go fricken red or purple it will look ok
Attention to detail is important to some. Look at Kopesy's 1199 to see how the devil in the detail clarifies the resolution of the big picture. Mr Tamburini paid attention to detail and look what that can do. Nought wrong with that.
I like to co-ordinate my my underwear. But getting suspenders in mens sizes and in denim is problematic.
