Bought the new Multistrada

  1. Couldn't be more happy, no idea what Im going to do with the Street Triple R, I could do with the money as part of the payment, but we'll see.

Pick it up from Ducati Aylesbury 9 March. Got a cracking deal, way better than anyone in the South. Found it too tempting!

What mods do you have for your bikes? I have the Garmin 350lm and some cheap pannier liners from eBay. Top box is included.

Kind of a nice 40th Birthday Pressie to myself in a couple of months.:upyeah:

nearly as bad as the kids counting down the days till we go to Disney !

  5. Lucky you! I was hoping to get it for the 1st but changed dealer at the last minute and have to wait until the 2nd Saturday. I look forward to hearing and seeing the pics.

What did you get on and for your bike?

Im trying hard not to look at the parts catalougue as I know I will desire many many new parts.

  6. Extras are heated grips, top box and the auto fuel cap release. My Tiger 800xc is going and they have offered me £5k for it at Aylesbury. Been on Biketrader but not 1 call so looks like part exing it. However I do like the look of the new Speed Triple R Dark !

  7. Ah I see another Triumph rider, Nice. The heated grips are standard on the S touring I thought? I have the top box too but would be interested in getting the Aux lights. I have just bought a Garmin 350LM as I thought it rude not to get a decent sat nat for a bike that likes to tour. I think I may hold on until the first service and see what I feel I may be able to take advantage of.

I just gave the Street Triple a wash and clean today. I think I'm going to find it hard to get rid of that bike so may hold onto it for just a short while longer.

This bike is a really laugh and with the quickshiter its so easy to get around.

  8. That's the trouble with Triumphs' you just don't want to let go. I have loved the Tiger but just find it lacking at the top end and when overtaking so the Multi will sort that ! Told the wife I would sell 2 bikes but I think the Speed Triple will have to stay, for now anyway. Everyone keeps telling me the Speed will become redundant when I get the Multi only time will tell.

  9. Nice bike by the way !

  10. Yeah I test rode the Road and XC. I liked them very much apart from the wind buffeting. I would have had one of those but it would have been too similar for me to have a STR and a Tiger too. I have yet to tell my partner about the bike yet. I am softening her up by going running with her in the park. Something she has been asking me to do for years now.

If you have room in your garage I think you should keep the Speed. I mean they are very different bikes. Woman like to have a wardrobe full of shoes for different occasions, why can't we have our joys! Although maybe a little more expensive at that.

  11. Got the larger screen for the Tiger which sorted the buffeting and it has been a fantastic bike. I am sure the Multi will be a great upgrade

  12. Yes I am hoping too. I agree with the 2 up part and skyhook also. Something I was never really able to do on the Street Triple.

I have found a good modding website with some very ingenious people. You might want to take a look. There are lots of links with many different projects on there. :upyeah:

  14. Will still have 2 in the garage ,
Long may multiple bikes continue !

  15. Mee too, came from a Sprint St1050

  16. That's funny how many of us are pre triumph owners.

  17. Is this your first Ducati ? Going to be interesting to see how I get on with the Multi and how my little stable of bikes might change after having 3 Triumphs ! So as of Friday 2 Triumphs and a Ducati, can`t wait

  18. Yes it's my first ducati. Tried the Streetfighter 848 but again was too similar to the street triple. I am not looking forward to that low end chug of a ducati compared to the smoothness of the triple engine. I guess that will be part of the bikes character. I have loved the bellow of the ducati exhaust since I was young and have always wanted to scratch that Ducati itch.

Only time will tell... I have a Triumph soon to have a Ducati and as I live in central London a little vespa scooter for running errands. (Sorry if this has ruined my image but until you live and work in central London, they are useful like a push bike)

  19. My first bike was a 748, then bought an Aprillia caponord for touring, ended up selling 748 for new granite work tops for MRS, and traded Aprilia for Sprint. Always loved ducati's, the multi was a natural choice for me, suits my riding and useage.

I know of another member on here "eyore" from sprint forum, she still has ST aswell as a 996 & has just got a GS as well.
