Brake Lines to suit 1990 900 SS. Are any of the later models compatible please?

  1. Hi all. I want to purchase a pair of full race (individual front lines) for my 1990 900ss but the place I'm looking at doesn't list my model. My forks are Marzocchi M1BB and are a fraction under 800mm overall length. The lines would need to be in the region of 700mm +/-. Can anyone tell me if the Showa forks on later models are of similar length? I'm betting the kit for a 1991-'93 would be close but it's 70 quid down the sink if I'm mistaken. Cheers in advance

  2. I was looking at Brakes4u.co.uk. Same lines, less cost and they post to NZ.

  3. Well they say they provide lines for a 1990 900ss so if they don't fit, just send them back :upyeah:

  4. Phone HEL and speak to them. Tell em what you want and the price listed by brakes4u and I bet they will sort you out for the same price and give you exactly what you want. HEL are very helpful and supply good quality kit. Brakes4u are just an online store that wont see any brake line s or pads or owt else ever.

  5. They do specify standard, 3 piece lines, but I'm after a race kit (two lines cylinder to caliper) as my bike no longer has the junction connector. Also, the standard kit is 80 quid versus 54 odd for a two piece.

  6. Cheers folks, good to know. It's a bit sad really, but to get new lines made up locally is twice the price of importing them from the UK.

  7. On the link I posted earlier, there's a diagram showing the options....one of them is for a 2 line kit. But as Cranker says, try giving them a call or leave a message on their website, they will do a set for you if they haven't got them in a kit already.
