V4 Brake Pad Recommendations

  1. Looking to get some new pads for my panigale v4. Wanted to see what pads people are running for fast road and the odd trackday. Thanks

  2. I’ve always ran Sbs pads in all my bikes on road and on track. Never had a problem and plenty of feel.

  3. Any particular compound?

  4. Brembo Z04’s. Expensive but good stuff always is. My Panigale is track only but when I switched to Z04’s I was shocked by the bite, no need to be mega hot to work either. And they last ages.

  5. I'm currently using SBS Dual Carbon (841DC) on my V4 Panigale, track use only (mid fast group pace), warm up quickly and good feel to them, great pads for the price, last well too. Have to agree with FC above though, having previously used Z04's, they are excellent, apart from the price that is ;).

  6. Dual Carbon on track and Sintered on the road.

  7. On a 1299 not V4, but I've been through two sets of the Brembo SR/SC pads and they're very capable for fast road with odd track days which is what they're designed for, I'd be hesitant about using ZO4 on the road. Now trying a set of the SBS 841RST as for the price difference I was intrigued to try them, not been on track with them yet but road riding seems good

  8. Brembo SR/SC for me too. But SBS, EBK all do great pads and its a bit down to personal preference with pads it seems to me. I just stick with brembo as my calipers are brembo. I'm not fast or good enough to discern any real differences tbh.

  9. Best pads I’ve ever used were zo4’s

  10. Thanks for all the suggestions guy

  11. Just had a look in my pit bag and I have these for my M4's.
These should look familiar (SR's) but from TWR.

And so should these (Z04's) but supplied by the Italian company Braking and made in Japan.

Not tried either yet but as I'm very familiar with the Brembo SR, maybe start with the TWR's. Andy
