Brancato Ducati Engine-Mounted Stand

  1. I posted up about paddock stands the other day (thanks to all for the replies) then discovered that I already had a bespoke and long-forgotten-about stand which came with my bike when I originally bought it. Not sure if anyone else has seen one of these, so thought I'd post up some pics. It's made by Brancato Engineering and is basically a very portable stand which is made of box section aluminium. There are two bolt holes on the RHS of the lower engine casing, and one half of the stand mounts directly to these. Once in place, you rock round to the other side of the bike, lift the bike off the side stand (the weight transferring on to installed half of the stand) then simply attach the other half of the stand via a long shaft which fits into a (bolt?) hole on that side. It's quite nifty and surprisingly solid.

I still want a paddock stand though..

    Some pics attached.

  2. CK, got one myself, useful if you want to work on the shock or swingarm, rather than your method I lift with a paddock stand then lower onto the Brancato stand as a weld cracked second time out meaning I had to borrow a TIG to repair....Mike
