Has anyone done a GP track day on a Panigale without noise issue? I note several days available for 2014, however, they seem to have a 101db limit. The Pani is 104db. Previous bikes did not have this issue so I have no idea how strict this all is.
I believe the Pani has a dispensation at all the MSV circuits, I'm sure if you call the TDO for the day they will confirm.
Thank you. TDOs are notoriously bad at advising on noise levels. They usually carry a disclaimer saying it is our responsibility to ensure we meet levels before we do the track day. I will call however, just in case it has changed. I know Kope has done the Indie circuit.
I did the full GP circuit on an 853 converted 748sp with a 50mm half race system without a question having been challenged on a previous visit on a noisy (105db) Indie circuit day. I belive Brands always does a drive by along the start/finish straight just before you throttle off for Paddock Hill. Not sure I've ever heard of a Panigale with a standard system failing a drive by although having said that there'll be someone along shortly who has . Andy
I thought I was a thread hijacking photo tart... Lol Seems Panis are treated differently, not heard of any failing where similar RC8s and RSV4's have failed. And think the GP is normally a 102 max, indy 105 max
I rode Brands GP last year on a 102db day, there were 4 Panis out and playing. As others have said, MSV give Panis a dispensation on the static test and only test them on a ride by.
