There is one called AutoAid that a few people have recommended to me where you pay around £40 for the year and that acts as a form of insurance. If you breakdown you call them and they arrange for recovery, you pay the amount up front and then reclaim the money from AutoAid? Not heard from anyone who uses them who has actually had a breakdown yet tho...
You might want to check this out: GEM Breakdown Cover wifey and myself covered in anything we drive / ride or are a passenger in, recovery to anywhere, roadside and home assistance, onward travel etc £68 squids pa in total, cant say fairer than that in my book ! OR If you want to go down the RAC route, it's also worth knowing that Tesco Clubcard points can be spent on RAC cover, at (if I remember correctly) 4 times their face value. i.e £25 of Clubcard vouchers gets you £100 of RAC. Hope this helps.
I'd probably need cover to pay for recovery rather than me pay and then be reimbursed. I am consistently skint! Cheers lads
Got personal cover with the RAC cover my wife and me in any car or van (even our company signwritten ones) weather we own them or passengers in them, wifes Patterpaws dog walking Business and mine Pumping Services Ltd Business and my motorbikes have used them twice for the guzzi and had great service both times
I have rescue my bike, covers bike and car for £60, excellent service for car breakdown, but not good for a puncture i had on bike. Heard a Few issues with RAC & AA regarding recovery of bikes, basically they send you a patrol , if you need recovering you have to wait for a recovery flatbed to come into area before it is assigned to you, hence some long waiting times. Have had Brittania recovery reccomended by guys who recovered me after puncture episode.
I cant decide whether to use my car or bike to go to Misano in September. I need Euro breakdown for the car if I use it, Just checked and just for anybodies info I got three quotes for 10th to 24th . green flag £58 RAC £125 and AA £220. And Green Flag was far better cover. For the bike I have it with Carol Nash on my Insurance
I have used the rac twice on the bike and both times quality service , i was asked if the bike was reparable NO on both times and they sent flatbed both times so must f been lucky also i would reccoment Puncture safe use it in the bikes and cars seals all puncture up to 6mm in the tread patern, good for 150 mph and the life of the tyre
