Brembo Billets 30/34

  1. Does anyone know when the “round bodied’ CNC calipers as fitted to 8** Corse bikes were superseded by the (current) more angular design. Would like to fit age appropriate calipers if possible (and appreciating that the older design is rocking horse poo!).

  2. Have you tried on the 851/888 forum?

  4. Neither! These are the 'earlier calipers I've seen fitted on 8** Corse bikes. Were also offered as a Brembo race kit with cast iron 320mm discs

  5. These were superseded by the current design. These are not monoblocs (all are two piece) but are 40mm mounting bolt spacing, twin pad, single pin design. Original colour for this later variant was gold inititially (as per photo) but the current variants seem to be a grey/titanium colour. (I like gold!). The earlier version (previous post) was only available in the hard anodised gold/bronxe colour.
[My work experience tells me that maintaining a consistent anodised colour is a PITA. so no wonder standard versions are a painted finish].

Just wondering which year the switch was made.

  6. I think that the factory 851 corse bikes start to use the new style somewhere in ‘92.

    Henk!!!
