999 Brembo Brake Reservoir Kit On 19rcs

Discussion in '749 / 999' started by TheJackal, Jan 6, 2021.

  1. Hi everyone,

I had always read that the Brembo Brake reservoir kit for a 19RCS would not clear the 749/999 fairing but I bit on the bullet and ordered one to find otherwise! There's a lack of photos on this type of install so thought I'd share a few.

I'm not using any sort of locating pin for the 19RCS on the OEM clip-ons but the angle at which I have the 19RCS worked just fine. No issue with clearing the fairing and here's what it looks like:

Only thing I added was a bit of lockwire in order to make sure the reservoir doesn't want to swing forward. Rubber mount and nut are fine but, I just want to make sure:

The rubber mount just ever so slightly kisses the clocks but its by no means a deal breaker as the lever adjustment also kisses the clock mount anyways with the 19RCS :) Still, not a deal breaker!

  2. Of course you don’t have to stick with the Brembo reservoir.

  3. I'd hate to be on that bike if there were to be an air bubble in that tube...

Normally works better if the reservoir is above the pump chamber.

  4. It’s the camera angle, it’s all fine.

    :upyeah:
