Bridgestone battlax s20

Discussion in 'Tyres' started by brog86, Jun 5, 2013.

  1. Anyone tried these, ill be changing tyres in the soon and looking for a good fast road tyre and hopefully get a trackday in aswell.

I don't really get on with pirellis and usually buy Michelin so I think I've narrowed it down to the pilot power 3 or the s20.

Any feedback on these would be much appreciated

  2. Used by MCN in their Fireblade/999/Petronas test in today's MCN. Shouln't be bad then, should it ? Andy

  3. It didn't do too well in the fast bikes tyre shootout but that was a track only test so I don't know if I should pay too much attention to it. I need a good road tyre that is ok on track and I'm only new to track riding so not pushing the tyres too hard anyway

  4. I'm a Pirelli Corse man now, used Bridgestones for years but changed because of my perceived lack of front end grip. Dunlops have a following just a little too angular profile for my taste and Michelins are hugely popular with the latest generation getting rave reviews. You pays your money and takes your choice and I don't think any of the major brands are going to be crap except probably Continental which I find plasticy and give me no confidence to press on. Just my opinion for what it is worth. Andy

  5. Tyre test in this months rides mag

  6. Had the Pilot Power 3's now for a 1000 miles. If you like your Michelins you will love these. Grippy, plenty of feel and seem to be lasting fairly well. Can't comment on the S20's but had BT15's and 16's on previous bikes and they were crap, but i've also had heard people say they liked them.

I think tyres are so much of a personal choice due to differing characteristics if you are happy with the feel of a certain brand then stick to it unless you are loaded and have enough money to go out and try every tyre available
