I am a numpty. Tightening the clutch lever bracket caught the switch and crack!! Have tried to botch it but will probably need to find and cannibalise and old switch.
I did exactly the same thing when I had a '95 900SS. It uses the same switch and it seems to be a very common issue. I fitted one off a Monster which is a better switch but needed the connector changed over and of course isn't original. I believe the same switch was fitted to a Honda model but I don't know which.
I saw a good fix that involved drilling the remaining piece and using a thread to install another button on the existing mechanism. Will give it a go at the weekend. w
Let us know how you get on. I've still got the original switch after all these years. If I can fix it it will be a spare for my 907ie.
Hello.Sunny Calif today.I bought a 92 907ie ,that had sat for over 10yrs,at harbor parking,by previous owner.fuel tank was so rusted from inside out,everywhere.bike came with extra tanks,injection,misc.well 3+yrs later,and 3500$ in.No one here will touch or knows how to repair, this superbike.Fork tube corrosion repairs,in lieu of used 907 tubes?So I am having mine repaired&plated,by my car plater.So can I use say 748 Showaz forks on 907,as backup?2nd new acquistion is 2000 Cigavo Grand Canyon 900. BEST PART?? STILL HAVENT GOTTEN MY MTC LIC. 1 MORE TEST..
I have a brand new switch (advertised 2 weeks ago on the ForSale forum) if you really need one. Just trying to sell it for what I paid for it 139Euros.
