The key has snapped off from the transponder. Does anyone know if and where you can get just the metalwork bit, obviously as a blank and I’ll get it cut. I’m waiting for a call back from my nearest dealer but I’m guessing it’ll be silly money. They’ll probably recommend a new bike

Any professional locksmith should be able to create a new key for you, complete with the transponder too. However, my advice is to keep the transponder part as just that ie to start the bike and get a new solid key cut without transponder to open the fuel tank and luggage & seat. In fact anyone who has these keys should get a fixed, solid, key cut to open things and leave the transponder key for just transponding.
Timpsons do yhe flip out keys, you pay for the case, they fit the transponder in the new case Or, they can do you a complete new key, including transonder
