  1. What does he gain from this? Mad risk imho

  2. Was about to reply “hope he doesn’t spanner himself” but you covered that one. :)

  3. I’m just happy they are coming to Lincolnshire!

    Not much happens here!

Besides - they aren’t actually racing - just coming to enjoy a famous circuit and give the fans a show - surely a top class rider can make it around Cadwell without binning it?

I would say that demo pace is cruising for guys that race 100% on the edge week after week and well within their comfort zone.

  4. I’ve seen blokes spanner themselves rolling out of the holding area and onto the track at Cadwell, “god I miss track days”.

  6. It might be wet as well on Monday

  7. On holiday mate

  8. I imagine it’s fun to ride but the racings a bit shit isn’t it?
No overtaking and two red flags in both races cos of that Mickey Mouse mountain.
“Ooohh but look at that air time”
    Etc
Most of the riders trying to keep it flat these days too.
Hope the last race improves somewhat for those that have made the effort :upyeah:
    (Decent crowd tbf!!)

  9. A great demo from toprack. Looked like he loved the place. White line to white line, knee down and flying over the mountain.

  10. I went go karting with his mechanic the other week, a mates mate, he used to race with Geoff Baines. IMG20220806100133.jpg

  12. I dont doubt its possible to see good racing but those superbikes have outgrown the circuit havent they? Wasnt much of a spectacle after the first lap and the majority of overtakes I saw needed to be bordering on the dangerous.

  13. Tbf he was mega over the mountain and generally his laps didn’t look slow even with some showboating

Pretty much bog stock that r1 and he spent the whole lap on the back wheel

  15. You might have a point, but it also depends where on circuit you were watching. SBKs duelling at the end of Park straight and from Park through to Mansfield can be spectacular. There's a lot of focus on the Mountain quite naturally however watching bikes of all sizes fighting for position around Cadwell remains a magical experience. Perhaps it doesn't translate so well to TV? :)

  16. Racing at cadwell is normally pretty poor. Yesterday was far more entertaining than normal.

Not sure I believe the ‘according to his camera’ stuff. Thinks it’s all part of the pr

  17. I was there watching - he put on a great show for the crowd.

He was showboating but on the 3rd lap he upped the pace and did a 1.37 without effort.

This clip is taken from the live stream so it’s real time and what we saw on the big screen while there - it backs up the 1.37.

In my opinion Cadwell is still one of the best circuits to spectate. There’s simply nowhere else you can get so close to the bikes.

BSB bikes are fire breathing monsters and the speed and noise can only truly be appreciated in the flesh.

I still came home and watched the races on Eurosport because you can never see it all trackside but there isn’t a set of speakers in the world that can reproduce the roars and bangs of a pack of Superbikes thundering through the Cadwell Vale.

  18. Tbf the fast sections have stacks of run off.

The infield not so much but then it isn’t ‘that quick’ in those bits
