Just catching up. What a bsb race! Top 3 all Ducati’s...they alrea6 have lost 500 revs, how soon before they lose more....Glenn Irwin knocking people off after the flag now lol Great first win for Iddon. Wouldn’t be too unhappy to see him win the title this year and a great 3rd for Bridewell after a tough qualifying and battle thru the pack. Front row tomorro I thick so let’s see if another win is on the cards... Third win on the bounce for skinner. A real find!
Well deserved win for Iddon I didn’t realise he’s 35 now ! I see Danny Kent is back in stock 1000 will be interesting to see how the ex world champion goes.
The Ducati’s are famously very good top end so I’m not that surprised to see them in the top spots haven’t watched the race yet but heard it was a good’en
Haven’t had a chance to watch the stock 1000’s at Donington yet but sounds like two good races. Didn’t realise Cooper had broken his leg. https://motorsport.radio/superstock-1000-riled-rouse-hits-back-after-opening-round-issues/
Santander Yamaha team have withdrawn for the rest of the season ! https://www.bikesportnews.com/news/...from-remainder-of-2020-british-superbike-seas
I think the affect of changing the size of the front tyre has been seriously underestimated by Stuart Higgs. The Eurosport commentary team said over the weekend that the WSBK teams believed the BSB bikes were not working the front tyre hard enough to get heat into it. And before anyone points a finger at Honda, the new bike was developed using the new tyre from the word go. Andy
It’s the same for all of them. Imho they are short of sponsorship and can’t afford the riders so have let them go and hoping to get cash for next year. May well be 100% wrong but the regs won’t change next year and of the riders go somewhere else who will do this ‘development outside of racing ’?
Problems sorting the constant front end chatter, last years bike was bad so they swapped to 2020 model and it’s even worse! They can run at 2-3 seconds of the front end pace but when trying to push on the problem comes back. Plan is to run different model bikes next year. Both riders have a seat on other bikes-teams for this weekends round at Silverstone I believe
Fingers crossed. Kennedy, although I’m no fan, deserves a good ride given his supersport performance over the last few years
That new Pirelli will be an improvement eventually. The real weakness of the Pirelli is that it often collapses under heavy load. The new profile and stiffness should help this. But it would seem the teams generally are playing catch up with it right now as mentioned above
