  1. Yep, BT Sport 1 free. All the other channels are £5.
    Add your own expletives.

  2. It had to come, they seem to pay whatever it takes to win the rights to different sporting events and as sky have always done, pass the cost on to us mugs.

  3. Isn't that called business?

  4. The £5 charge is for the new European football channel. Looks like you have to opt into BT Sport Lite to avoid the charge but still get BT Sport 1&2. (This hasn't been rolled out well, lite gives just BT Sp 1 so no MotoGP!!!!!)

  5. Yep, just received the e-mail from them, and as the OP says, BT Sport 1 free if you 'downgrade' so no MotoGP

    =====================

    BT Sport Lite
    If you want to continue watching BT Sport for free, you can downgrade to BT Sport Lite – our basic pack with access to BT Sport 1 only. But you would miss out on the UEFA Champions League, The FA Cup, European rugby, MotoGP™ and much more.

  6. I'm confused, whats actually changed? I thought you always had to pay in some form. We get it as part of our BT Broadband package.

  7. You only had to pay for HD.

  8. I couldn't give a shit any more. We're moving house and the BT service and especially support has been poor at best. Although I'll miss MOTOGP I won't miss constant drop outs, dropped calls to my my business Skype line (every call between 3 and 7 mins in) and shocking technical support. To add insult to injury, when you leave them they charge you £30 to switch off the broadband. Utter wankers.

    I hope the world realises that football is a shit game and they go bust having paid for the Champions League rights.
