  1. According to MCN , BT SPORTS PRICE HIKE .. For Moto Gp , Champions league , FA cup , UFC , Europa League , European Rugby champions Cup , From August those of you who have BT BB will have to pay £5 a month ( free currently ) Sky customers without BT BB it goes upto £19.99 ( was £13.50) plus £4 if you want HD.
looks like we are going to pay for the OTT bidding on the footie .....

  2. I currently watch MotoGP free on my BT BB, I will not pay extra for it.

  3. I told them to feck off........ was only streaming motogp when I could, the rest I didn't bother with. Just have to watch bikes on ITV4, for as long as it's broadcast. I am a tight fecker....

  5. i currently subscribe to motogp, but quality is sometimes not the best and commentators are not the best, was going to pay bt next year but if increasing not going to bother. I'll save my money and go to the british motogp. or a cheeky weekend to Jerez.

  6. I'm cancelling it too.

  7. I feel cheated that I have been promised the ability to watch Btsport for free if I signed up for bb with BT, now, after committing to a years contract to get this deal and they appear to renaged on the deal.
Don't suppose there is anything I can do about it though as technically I can still watch Btsport 1, not that I want to though.
Having said that the coverage has been first class, as far as I'm concerned it would be hard to better it.
Left me with a bad feeling about BT though.

  8. TBH, I just don't care. I watched the racing for free for a decade... if I have to pay a fiver now, so be it... it's only 40p more than a pint in the local.

  9. As an engineer for a well know satellite company , I get free Sat TV but I pay for BT as everyone else does so I can enjoy the practices and quali sessions then the main races , I also enjoy the American College Football , but all other programming doesn't interest me , but the size of the price hike is crazy . ...I will have to re think ...

  10. I had no doubt that when they introduced it free with the broadband that after everyone was hooked up they would make you pay for it and have been proven right now :(

  11. How do people expect them to pay Dorna god knows how many millions to host it ? You rekon they should pay Dorna £100m and then give it to customers for free ? lol... seriously ?

  12. For that matter, how can Dorna run on a mere £100M from BT Sport? Surely £1.1 billion is closer to the mark?

  13. it was just a random figure plucked from the air to prove a point, I've not actually looks to what the figure was/is.

  14. No worries, I wasn't going to hold you to that figure :)

  15. Just load xbmc on your pc and watch it free. Not the best quality at times but perfectly watchable.

  16. Advertising ? Part of an overall package such as broadband which I do pay for ?

BT offer new customers a better deal than they give me and I have been with them forever. Why should I stay with BT unless they give me free BT Sport where I watch only MotoGP ?

  17. That's how businesses entice new customers. Buy one get one free, 2 months free , interest free credit. Etc etc.

You stay because they provides service you cannot get anywhere else.

I don't understand the confusion here honestly.

  18. Paying the badturd BBC fee is enough money wasted

  19. The point is I can get the service elsewhere, even BT Sport, but for now it is easier to stay with BT and get the free MotoGP. If BT start charging over and above my broadband for BT Sport then there is less reason to stay with BT who take their loyal customers for granted.

Then there is the issue of BT quoting "up to" speeds

  20. I do the IT at work, that includes the fibre lines. Luckily I signed us up to BT (sky at home) and linked the account to my sky card. Free BT sport for me. Hopefully accounts don't flag up the extra £5 though. I may have to have a word to prep him that I'm nicking the offices BT sport [emoji6]
