  1. not sure I could maintain that level of concentration even if I had the driving ability. 6.48 mins/2.7 V8/650-ish kgs : -

  2. Why is the video quality so poor?

  3. Be nice to organise a bike trip there one day. What do you think?

  6. Could do. Further trips on the lines of the previous ones would not be too hard to organise. It could become a regular feature, perhaps annually.

  9. I love it there, I've done plenty of laps in cars but never on a bike. It will have to be done soon.

  10. Still a long way to go to beat Stefan Belhofs lap record, set in 1983 in a Porsche 956 Group C racer. 6:11 for a full lap...

  11. Its flat stick for quite a long time too, and clearly on the edge. Love it

  12. On some Car trackdays out here you can buy a passenger lap with the driver on the video in a Radical lapping in about 7 min 10 sec. Cost a bit but the people i know have said it's worth it.
I live oout here and instruct in cars on the famed ribbon that is the green hell. Also a diehard Ducati man. If anyone is interested in heading out here that fancies staying with us , as we have a couple of nice guestrooms and a house full of bikes. give me a shout.
Some people may even remember me and my wife from when i was Surrey Regional organiser for the DSC.

  13. Maybe we can stay at your mates hotel next time Roy

  14. Depends which mate ?? There is Sliders that is run by Bren who used to be the Baron for PB magazine. Nice honest bloke but it's a Step backward comfortwise if used to staying in Cochem hotels. He is still an awesome rider and does some good rides. Great guy though and have been mates for 15 years.
Have other mates with hotels. One is in Nurburg and the other 3 miles from the track.
We can accommodate 4 at the most if needed.

  15. Normally thru inexperiance and not listening to good advice.

  16. Andy in this video is going to be planning to go sub 7 minutes in 2015. He is also a good friend of many years, we both work together at Spa and Nurburg instructing. Awesome video and bike skills, but sadly the owners of the Ring have constantly denied him a full closed track for a serious stab at it. He has even had full marshalling and medics on standby in the past with a copter to track him. But they pulled the plug on the day. So all bike attempts are conducted in public driving sessions. No bike trackdays on the Nordschleife but there are training days if anyone is interested i can forward details.

  17. Dave was telling me about the barons rofe out. That would do me nicely ;)

End of the day, a hotel is good long as warm, clean and somewhere close fir decent beer n food

  18. Awesome lap. Funy thing is the guy on yhe gixer thnks he's flying...until yer mate peels past

  19. wow! cool

  20. A yearly trip to The Ring, now that sounds like it has to be done Pete, starting 2015 perhaps?:D
