So before we finish the jobs I was going to do during the winter and not be rushed getting set for the first ride out, dare one mention bottoms. The seat on my monster is best described as a little slippery, so I was thinking about a partial saddle recover so my leather clad arse will stay in place when I get a little keen. I was thinking about a suede top (waterproof so probably a synthetic version) Has anyone recovered a saddle to stop sliding into your tank and dismounting with a voice an octave higher than you are used to?
Apparently, you're supposed to grip the tank with your legs to stop yourself sliding forward, apparently, so an instructor told me, he also said to stop riding thin ducatis ( was on a 999) and get a fat R1
What type monster is it? Year? I have an old seat for the c 2002 2004 monsters, it's a twin seat it's off a m800 / M1000, it's yours if you pay the postage as the seat is torn ( we bought a crashed m800)

Mine is a 2001 M900Sie - the seat is different to earlier monsters, they changed the front profile and modified the tank to suit. It does have the ‘spike’ lock arrangement which again differs to earlier monsters. Looking at the M800 on Ducati Parts it looks very similar. Worth a try to see if it will fit and give me something to work with.

Exactly what I did with mine. Had it professionally recovered in Alcantara with a waterproof membrane underneath so I only get slightly wet when it rains.
