I’ve messed up and broke the banjo bolt feeding the vertical pot. It started when I discovered an oil leak and found the bolt only finger tight, now I know they are a fragile wee thing so I just nipped it up but hey ho. So I’ve two things to ask. Would anyone have a spare banjo bolt to suit I could buy. I phoned Ducati today and was told I’d have to buy a bag of 10 at £7.60 each plus vat!! And secondly would anyone know the torque setting for the bolt.

if you don't mind going non-O.E.M. Part number comes back as 77910861B and it is widely used on the oil, clutch and brake system of many bikes. This one for £6.95 Ducati Brake clutch line hose banjo bolt 748-998 749 999 Monster etc | eBay , or try Craig at Moto Rapido. You need a couple of new copper washers 78710051A (which do come in a packet of 10 but only cost 50p each). The torque setting is listed as 15Nm however not sure I would torque it, just nip it up
If it is the same as the brake master cylinder, then this one I bought the other month was good: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181261036759
Hi Andy I know O.E.M. is nearly always the safest route but nice to explore and maybe save some money now and then, and "HEL" in this case are or at least certainly have been, a manufacturer to be trusted.
Thanks for the help guys. So I’ve just checked the bolt and it looks like it’s an M8 24mm overall !! Would being a 94 916 make a difference as most I see are m10. Denzil I’ve just asked the seller of the one you listed to confirm if it’s 8 or 10mm There’s an original listed on eBay USA with the part number 77910861B and states it’s M8
If you can't find one, make a drawing and I can machine one for you out of whatever material you like.
Thanks for that great offer petsmith very much appreciated and I certainly will keep you in mind. Hopefully I’m sorted
