Ill be there with the mrs and kids, its baby Darcey's first ever bike racing event so they'd better put on a good show
Well according to the reports its likely to be circa 21-22c so nice and manageable. i think I've read they have built two new bridges so access is better and also a kids play area which our older one will love although ill make sure she watches the main races with a view of the mountain
Good weather spectator I'm afraid, so will leave it until last minute before making the trip over, fingers crossed. My 10 year old will be tagging along too which will be his first BSB event.
might go and stay overnight nearby with the wife. Anyone know a nice quite country hotel in the vicinity worthy of my hard earned ?
Try the Royal Oak (AKA Splash) at Little Cawthorpe. Nice and not too far from Cadwell. Or there's Kenwick Park Hotel nearby.
Will be riding up today from Cornwall and crashing at me mums (God bless her) and shooting across from Stamford area on Monday if anyone's about?
Not going to the race, but will be out on the bike in the area for sure, probably Willingham woods at some point. Local traffic plod will be out in force to stop bikes with 'dangerous' small number plates, the camera van will most definitely be out too, plus roadside 'safety' checks in the surrounding area, take it steady chaps
True to form, I got pulled on Monday for being too noisy and going too fast. To be fair I was all over a pussy on a new Fireblade so it was almost worth the bollocking!
Amazingly I got a slap on the wrist. the usual story, blatting round some fast bits at full Termi chat, he was tucked in at the side of the road. I spotted him and backed off, he followed me and after half a mile, I pulled into a carpark, took my lid off and looked awfully sorry for myself, before he had even got out of his car......Win! Lesson to self, don't go out on Bank Holidays and deffo don't use main routes
