I am part of a team that runs a track based road skills course at Cadwell Park race circuit (near Louth in Lincolnshire) called Performance Plus. As its not a Track Day, textiles, motorcycle jeans and flip front helmets are allowed. Plus we have an excellent safety record too. The course is aimed at all abilities, from novice who has just passed test, 'back to motorcycling' riders and experienced riders too. The course actually costs £179 per rider, but thanks to heavy subsidies from the Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership and others, we have kept the price down to £89 per person for the second year running. Theres plenty of B&B's on Cadwell Parks website for those travelling from afar. Its been running for 7 years now with around 1500 riders having taken part. The track session is run by the renowned Hopp Rider Training; all instructors are well respected, very patient and friendly. The three of us that run the class session are ex police motorcyclists, two of us retired crash investigators with a wealth of knowledge; we give unbiased advice/information, (no finger wagging) showing you where it has gone wrong for others so you dont make the same mistakes.
