  1. anybody been of going caddy on april bank holiday got my first track day booked any tips would be much appreciated of course try and stay on the bike is a start am running in novice group with no limits

  2. I will be there for both days. (open pit lane Tuesday also) what you riding? will look out for you.

  3. cool ill be on zx10 road fairing till I bin it u done much track days ther matey ?

  4. yep been to cadwell a fair few times (unfortunately crashed there last march and got a little busted up.) What was annoying was it was 2nd session of first day of 2 day event.(lost nearly 2 days of paid for tracktime) plus it was on a new to me zx10 which I replaced my 1098 with.

  5. My mistake, I will be there the following Mon-Tuesday dates. Have a good one anyway!:upyeah:

  6. same as mine then u still using the zx10 ther ment to be good on track its only a standard bike at the min

  7. yep had the zx10 for a year now. Got the 2011 model cos I loved the dash. Must admit to second thoughts when I first went from 2 cylinders to four, but am now gelling with the bike and really enjoying it.

  8. av always had inline 4s when i got the 1199 it was lot difrent to what am use to have you done owt to the zx10 that make a difrence on track ?

  9. had heard the standard rear shock was poor, so had a K-tech shock fitted. Running standard front end as reportedly very good. As you will know they are a very quick bike and I didn.t feel the brakes matched it,s performance so upgraded to brembo m4s and master cylinder. I soon realised a big bump stop on seat unit was needed as acceleration forces were pushing me back in seat. I will admit to finding it a more physically demanding bike to ride than my 1098, but both bikes have their charms.:upyeah:

  10. only ridden mine in the rain as when it was sunny took the 1199 out but in the wet its piss to ride as the t.c holds it sideways for you only slifhtly nowt like rossi ect but makes u feel like him lol so all av been doing on it is nailing it out of bends and spinning rear up not had chance to use it with shit weather all av got for it is front rear and side r&g crash bungs k&n grp4 damper as standard is wank what exhaust u using as av had the decat fitted then to the standard can but duno if it will pass a sound check and dont realy wana put cat back in

  11. I have an Austin Racing system fitted but have to run with baffles to make less than 102db:upyeah:

  12. caddy is running at 105 d.b on the date am going have u got a pic of the exhaust for me as am going to need 1 very soon if i have to put the catback in for april

  13. av got this on at the min it was biger and ran down the side of the bike to the hanger like standard but it was only a cheap can so chopped it down and made a custom link pipe to suit its loud like but will never get on track with it but they do a baffle for it but still dont recon it be pass sound test

  14. GP2RPB_zpsa76d60b5 (2).jpg Generally the shorter the can the louder it is. I had my exhaust made longer than the one pictured but unfortunately it stilled failed ( read 102.8 at Oulton Park) I was told it has a type of baffle system in the link pipe,.... obviously not good enough to pass 102db.
I would hazard a guess that given the length of your exhaust, even with a baffle in you may still fail.
I know the standard system is a big old lump, but if you still have it, maybe worth putting back on just for peace of mind on the day.

  15. That will be mega loud, its short and lowdown, dont be surprised if even with bafgle it fails

  16. i had my 09 plate zx10r at silverstone on a track day only thing i would have changed would have been the tyres to something more track focused, but other than that it was ace.

  17. av gone for pirelli diablo super corsa sc2 front and rear

  18.
