Can anyone confirm for me what the front caliper bolt sizes are, please? The originals have gone really scabby, so I think I'll replace them with titanium. I think I'm right in saying they're M8 x 60.
Can't confirm the size, but can confirm that the caliper bolts are crap. I have changed them for Ti ones on my Supersport 939, the wifes new monster and the nieces new monster. They were all looking rubbish within weeks of buying the new bikes. I bought cheap Ti ones from ebay China at about £30 for a set of four.
On my 1260s (M50 callipers) they're M10x60, threaded portion about 32mm. Have one of the bolts I took out when fitting a RoadLock sitting here on my desk. Just had a look on StarTwin website, part #25, same part number so yes, M10x60. 1260 1200 Enduro
I've got a few nasty looking fasteners, so I think I'll spend a bit of time in the garage later with verniers and a pen and paper, so I can measure and order up nicer replacements.
StarTwin website above has the fiche frames and parts listings. These frequently tell you the bolt sizes.
Going back to the Star Twin microfiche, I'm looking at item 29 here, the sprocket nuts: https://shop.oemducati.com/en/products/multistrada/2016/multistrada-1200-enduro/wheels-40 It says M10 x 1.0, but most of the nuts I can see for sale online seem to be M10 x 1.25 or even 1.50. Can anyone confirm, please? I'm on a quest to rid my bike of scabby fasteners!
Thread here seems to imply that the pitch is 1mm, not 1.25mm. So confirms that the fiche is correct (as I would expect it to be).
Thanks mate, you're a star! Really appreciated. Looks like I might be on a quest, as M10 x 1 seem quite unusual.
Came up with these - stainless steel - would prefer titanium, but at this price they would certainly be better than the disgusting OE fasteners. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/8pcs-M10...-Flange-Nut-/362153989380?hash=item54520f5504
I think I've hit the jackpot here. Titanium for £2.93 each! https://www.competitionfasteners.com/flange-nut--ultra-fine--10mm--10-pitch-353-p.asp
M10 at 1mm pitch is just a finer thread. It is normally used on more critical components. Aircraft often use a 1mm pitch.
