I'm having issues trying to fit the Calsci screen I bought on here. Has anyone else fitted one? Ducati Multistrada 1200 Windshields The website mentions spacers but I didn't get any from the seller (I've gone back to see if he has these). Nothing seems to line up quite right and the fittings on the bike don't go into the rubber grommets like the original screen does. From website: Ducati Multistrada 1200 2010-2012: Insert the supplied rubber grommets into the holes in the windshield. Remove your stock windshield. Put a 1/2" aluminum spacer into each upper grommet, and the 3/8" spacer into the lower grommet. Optionally place a translucent white cap holder on each screw head. Put a stainless steel washer on each of the supplied ss screws. The large washer optionally goes on the small screw - this is important for touring windshields. Hold the windshield in place, and attach the lower 20mm screw, tightening it to 5 ft-lbs. Run the two 25mm upper screws through the grommets, and thread them into the windshield mount about 5 turns each. Now tighten the top two screws. The spacer and screw will be at a 15° angle to the grommet, the washer holds everything in place. Optionally pop a black screw cover over each screw head.
Yes you should have had spacers and brackets to fit the Calsci.........where did you buy?....you need to get in touch with the seller ;-)
I have a Calsci Screen. Got it from Heroblobs and it came with all the necessary bits. Combined with Aztec spacers and Eagle Screens winglets (hiss flaps) it transforms the bike into the top-class sports tourer Ducati meant it to be.
Just to say that Heroblobs sent through a set of spacers and fixings and I've fitted the screen. Initial reaction are: It's BIG It's CLOSE to you On the HIGHEST position it's right in your eyeline unless you look through it (not nice in town) There is NO buffeting (really, none) It seems to reflect MORE sound back at you, you seem to hear the engine more? Acts like a parabolic reflector perhaps? There is a strange thrumming noise at about 50MPH which might be vibration of the screen or wind roar? At about 100MPH there is no air pressure on you at all, but a fair bit of wind roar noise unless you duck behind the screen It badly needs the bottom painting black, very ugly without this I'm now not sure if to use this screen or the Ducati touring screen (with Wunderlich spoiler add on) for the EMM trip to the Dolomites next month. More testing required over the weekend I think... Ideally I'd like this screen for the motorways and then my Pikes Peak one when I get to the mountains
Have a Calsci screen for sale if anyone interested. Spacers included (still in envelope from USA) as my bike didn't have them when bought from Aylesbury! So got Caslci to send me a set.
Hi P4ULG. It's off an 11 plate, so 3 hole fixing. £45 + £5 p&p recorded Royal Mail. PM me and I'll send details etc. Ta.
