I have mine where @Expat Jack has his lap timer, cable tied down to make sure it stays and then used a small extension to raise the height a bit. This is a cheap method, but works really well. Prob better to get the above really and do it properly.
The lap timer is mounted via Velcro on an alloy plate with a 3mm rubber backing. All zip tied to yoke. If you are interested.
