I was sitting here oogling over the Hypermotard SP, I have just ordered the Stealth version and was looking at all the mods I would like to add, mainly carbon. I was thinking hang on a minute, each part is around £200+ each. Im going to reach the £2300 difference quite soon and that not even with the Ohlins rear shock, adjustable forks etc etc. So, if I have received a numberplate and a vin number etc from the dealer on a piece of paper. Does this mean that I am "stuck" with the standard as I have paid only a deposit for that bike. Im happy with the standard but just wanted to ask. (although its probably quite clear that I would happily eat a tin of tuna and an apple for the foreseeable future to get the SP)
I'm my heart I'm hoping he says yeah sure, change to the new sexy SP. My wallet is screaming NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
^^^ what I was going to say. If the bike has been registered and that VIN is now associated with that reg. no. Then don't think they'll be that accommodating as it'll be a very low miles used bike.
It's an interesting conundrum. I am inclined to think that the standard bike is now registered but I have no idea what the outcome will be.
Me thinks you are a the owner of a sexy new stealth and you would be most welcome to trade it in for a extra sexy SP, Oooo sorry sir, but the stealth is a used bike and I can give you £2000 less for it than ya paid ! my SP is great
The answer is YES!!! The problem is that ebike don't have any Hypermotard 821s on their system so I can't add it onto my present insurance. A hyper 769 + £53. So, I would have to add it onto a new policy with 0 NCD as you can't use the NCD from the other policy. Bennetts wouldn't insure me on their multibike policy as I have a new Multstradai too... GRHHHHH
Just tried it. Oh I love wasting 10 minutes filling in the forms for it to tell me they can't do a quote over the internet
Just phone them, its easier. May be better to short term your current policy, and take a new one with the NCD in place for both.
Sorry dude, don't hate me. I was thinking, if all else fails. I could get a standard hyper insurance then once ebike get their ass into gear I could cancel the single Hyper policy and add the bike onto the ebike policy.
