Cant believe how disappointed I am

  1. So I buy this MTS1200S Touring, the skyhook jobbie although I planned on an ABS so spent way over budget as Snells had stock.

Having read all about hem, seen loads of threads and articles and set my expectations accordingly, I cant believe how wrong they all were.

Fuelling is spot on, no low down lurching or rocking. Back brake works enough to bring in the ABS in urban mode. Lights work. Tyres are great. Starts first time. Easy tax disc position. ABS is fluid and consistent. Modes work well n the fly and gear change is positive and easy.

Ok its only 300 miles but really, I expected far worse given all the negativity. Its just not on...

  2. I know what you mean, 3500 miles and nothing been out in torrential rain, extreme heat, Germany trip, traffic etc. and nothing !

  3. Now that I've fitted the updated Ohlins ECU. My 2012 MTS is a different bike from when I bought it. I'm enjoying riding it again.

  4. Yeah man, major shitter

  5. Looks like they've ripped ou off. Write to your local ombudsman!

  6. Hasnt it got enough power................

  7. That's really bad luck, your expectations being shattered.

Have a look on Fleabay; You may find some original 2010 parts such as heads and rear brake lines that could make a world of difference and transform the bike. You can mount the original screen with double sided tape but will have to live with the easy adjustment device.

  8. I was disappointed with mine too.

Its cost me a fortune in fuel from wanting to ride it all the time.

  9. Wait - the Multistrada is a motorbike?

I thought it was a serial killer! (based upon its rep)

  10. Very nice, I bet this is not your first ducati. That seems to make a difference.
It will be interesting to read your future posts to see if there is any decline in your enthusiasm.

  11. Running it in urban mode mostly, who needs more than 100hp Andy? And only 6k revs too...

  12. bradders you can swap with mine then to experience the 'real deal'

  13. outrageous, I couldn't live with that

  14. Take it back and get a proper Ducati....

  15. Saw a chap broken down on one today maybe he has yours! ;)

I did pull over on my 2012 TDM900 that does 65 to the gal and tops out at 140mph at all of 81BHP, think he had fallen for my old Yam when he found out it cost 7K brand new with 2YR RTB....lol Still you can't have it all....or can you ;) lol

  16. I think you just did Arthur :)

  20. Well I'm on my third Multi and the latest is utterly fabulous. Done 1700 miles and it is now run in nicely. Not one false neutral, engine super smooth at all revs, fast as fooook in sport mode which I now only use very sparingly. Anybody else noticed that. Used to ride in sport all the time on my other bikes. Not this bloody thing, it's bloody insane!!
