  1. Can't find neutral on my bike, never had this problem before go to find it and the gear lever is rock solid, takes a fair amount of force to move and flys from 1st to second. But when the bike is not running I can find neutral? Has anybody had this or can anyone help me?

  2. Do you select neutral as you roll to a stop, or try when you have stopped ?

  3. Clutch more than likely needs bleeding, especially if you're running a small span on the clutch lever.

  4. When I've stopped? Got the old mityvac out and bled the hole line. I'm sure there was a small amount of air at the top. I think that was the problem. I took it for a spin and neutrol is no problem now. But the bite has changed is this normal? Thanks

  5. I have to bleed my clutch regularly during the summer as it get hot from the engine ,causing bubbles in the fluid .very normal.

  6. Can you do mine Daz ? Not using the bike for 4 weeks 'cos of an eye op.
Then can you sort out my new hub, fuel lines and rivnuts on my MV please ?

  7. Anything for you will

  8. Get a 899. It's a piece of piss. ;)

  9. It's not a problem now as it was just a small amount of air causing the problem.

899 are nice but to popular for me now, I saw 5 alone on a ride out yesterday :Jawdrop:

  10. Have you been adjusting the gear lever? If so back it off. Plus I find adjusting my drive chain properly helps. A loose or tight chain can provoke odd things.

Having a bit of slack on the gear push rod ive found helps

  11. No haven't touched it, but I think the bike is ok now, I will check chain though always good to check that :upyeah: Thanks

  12. Slack on your push rod ?

    How very dare you !

  14. I've always had this problem with my previous 1098 and current 1098s. It's air in the clutch lines f'sure. Warning signs are difficulties getting into neutral unless the engine is switched off, bike wanting to move forward 'in gear' even when you've pulled the clutch in and having to pull the clutch lever almost up to the handle before the slack is taken up.

I only bleed from the top nipple and once the air is released, I pull the lever in to push the level up, close it up and tighten it and your clutch lever is back to normal position, too with you only having to pull it in an inch or so at most to release the gear.

In the summer, I usually end up having to bleed the clutch at least once a month, if not more. Keep an eye on your levels though! These go down quickly!
