To help anyone in the future, here is the reason why the Tank Breather Valve must be fitted with the little arrow facing away from the petrol tank..... AL Also...........make sure the rubber hose isn't breaking down where it pushes onto the valve.......a two year old one had loads of bits of rubber inside which can't get out, but will stop the valve from working...... .......same with the corroded one.........I'm currently trying to clean it up and there are rubber particles stuck in the corrosion salts....
