What make/model of carbon fibre helmets are people wearing. I have both Shoei and Arai normal lids at present, but it's time to consider a change.
My brother has just bought an HJC Carbon, he says it is the most comfortable, lightest helmet he has had. They were £400 but are on offer on eBay for £225, seems a bargain. I like the look of the x-lite and the new Bell Star as well.
If you struggle to find it, maybe you could try any Pista GP on ( plain carbon or "46") ? They should all come up the same size then buy the Gran Premio through the net.
My son has bought an Xlite full carbon looks fantastic and says it is much quieter than his old Shark, fits really well as well
I bought mine from Sportsbikeshop. They are geared for online sales. If you get the wrong size it's free returns and replacement. You do really need to try it I bought a K5 which fitted me in Medium Large. The helmet was damaged after 3 weeks I have bought a the Pista but needed a large in that
The AGV looks lovely but for me the sizing is all over the place. I couldn't find a size that was any good, either too small or too big or pushing on the forehead.
Just bought last week a nexx xr2 carbon . Seems to fit good but not worn it out yet . Light as can be .
I have an nexx but started having problems with visor clips falling off and the visor hanging off when tanking along - not good! Bought replacement clips and still have the issue so have lashed up with sellotape until I buy another lid. In short I wouldn't go nexx:-(
yes, i tried the XXL and it its still a maybe as is the non carbon Schuberth SR1. glasses is also an issue, i wear them and struggled to get them in.
