  1. hello all,

Does anybody know if this can be repaired, I don't have the other part that's missing

    In the Yorkshire area

    Cheers carl

  2. How did it break off?

  3. you could get it repaired but the result would not be seamless/it would never look the same and could still cost a fortune - is it irreplaceable?

  4. I'm not entirely sure but I doubt it. CF is woven hence the repair difficulty.

  5. What is the bike? I couldn't work out if it's Diavel, Hypermotard or neither.

  6. I had a carbon belly pan repaired from a 1098r (not as badly damaged as your pic) .Came back ok but I could see the repair work which showed like a dark shadow on the lacquer.
Think if you want it perfect I would be buying new

  7. Sorry cant help with that one as I had other stuff done at the same time. Got it done at Rage Designs in Manchester (highly recomend) who was up front about what could be achieved. Structurally it was perfect but as I said you could see the dark shadow of the repair, which for a fussy bloke like me was difficult to live with.
This was back in 2010 so things may have moved on. Good luck whichever way you go.

  8. as said, can be repaired but you will see it a bit as the weave off the repaired part is not gonna line up exactly with the rest off the fender.
did you drove away with the disclock still on it?

    henk!!!

  9. Nope, the only way is to repair and then have a full skin on...patching up is just a cheaper way and will be visible. Carbon weave matching is possible but to blend the new weave to the old weave, impossible

  10. exactly
