Hi guys. I have just purchased my first Ducati a 748r. The mirrors are abit chipped. Does anyone have or know of anywhere I can get hold of some carbon mirrors? Thanks Toby
DP made them. They do need some work to get a decent result. In other words, the plastic glass needs changing to proper glass then they are fine. Quite hard to get hold of but do appear every now and then. Probably £200 to £250 for a decent 2nd hand pair.
hi thanks for reply I noticed a old for sale thread of yours whilst looking on google for mirrors so noted what you said about changing for glass. Maybe in the mean time il get mine repaired til I can source a set.
My 1995 916 was heavily modified by the previous/original owner 20 some-odd years ago. It has carbon everything except the tank. In the spares is a set of carbon mirrors from a company called Magical Racing. I’ll give these a go once she is roadworthy.
Installed my cf mirrors. I must say they seem pretty nice. They feel rock solid and one can even see behind. Running these requires one to remove the springy clamp retainer bits from the fairing ears but oh well. From here: http://www.magicalracing.co.jp/gatej/
I had some on my 996, bought them from Ducati NYC when I was on holiday, no idea who manufactured them but they were exact replicas of the originals, probably DP items as the mirror glass was plastic as mentioned above. Long gone now though.
