Well two actually from the same seller . I've had this before and its peeing me off, I have to move heaven and earth to get it resolved. It goes like this.... I order something then proceed to pay after being told the total price inc postage , then I get this.... One or more of the items below can't be purchased because the seller doesn't post to the location selected. Change your address or remove the items to continue. You may also contact the seller for an exception. I know the problem its because Im in Guernsey and the seller hasn't added it to his posting region , So I have to ask to be exempt from his non posting jurisdictions .. Or invoice me . So he invoices me ... guess what when I go to pay it still says the same as above . So I asked to invoice me on paypal .. No reply. 3 messages to the seller and no reply , advanced search and used his contact phone number :frown: Only for "Number not recognised "! . By this time I have two cases against me. ......... Phone ebay , kept on hold for ages , they ask what I've done to address these cases , I tell em . Ok they say you've done all you can to try and get hold of him , then we'll see if he finalises the case against you then we'll scrub them off your history. Great so I can still have my 100% record ..... Not great though as I don't get these bits I want , and It'll happen again further down the line. Being the detective I am I found on the internet a contact number for this seller on an internet site , basically his business of the same name , tried ringing , no fuckin answer , no that's not true , an answer phone , left details .Nothing. Sometimes you do all you can and just cant get hold of anyone . Frustrated or what.
Yes . Mainland , or Isle of White . Thinking of it .:smile: Not because of ebay obviously , just thinking.
Had a similar experience buying a bargain part from Germany, Got the "Change your address or remove the items to continue" Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhh..!!! Emailed the seller, then some bugger went and bought the bloody, bastard thing!...
I've never been. Strange, Oxfordshire where I grew up isn't that far away. What's it like? The rest of the UK? Fewer people?
It is a good place to live until you want to go somewhere. The ferry costs are robbery and that trip gets to be a pain in the ass.
Do you buy much this way? Can't you not organise with a mainland based friend to use his address and then him/her forward from there.? Not ideal, but a way round maybe.
I used to live their and my parents still do.The island is about 20 years behind the mainland in most respects. An awful lot of old people still drive as public transport is crap. You see a lot of cars being driven by nobody (or just a hat) ! Not much in the way of employment , although when you stand at the ferry terminal waiting to go to your job on the mainland,just as many people seam to be getting off going to their job on the island. Lot of good pubs and food and the grockle,s do go home in the end.
I could if I had someone to trust , and trust me of course . I also wouldn't want to hassle anyone and have the hassle . So really that shows I cant be arsed :biggrin: Its not life or derth just a pain. :wink:
Its all good . Just had an email with the sellers paypal details . Paid up and parts will soon be here. I wonder do you think ebay had messaged him or did he finally get my own messages. I was relieved to be able to pay I hates wanting something and not being able to haves it. :biggrin:
Well I've received my items , all good , but cant leave feedback as he still has these two cases against me . I don't care I've the goods so he doesn't get feedback ,big deal.
