  4. cheers chaps, I was thinking just giving the cbr a blast round in the novice group just to clear the cobb webs out after the rebuild.

  5. Go for it. It’s not too bad, better than an airfield day or llandow!

  6. If its on one of Castle Combes track days, it wasn’t great, they only let 12 bikes on track per session and each session is 10 minutes long, the first lap being under yellows. So you only get half a track day in theory. Having said that they may have changed their system (I cant see it myself, they’re pretty well set in their 60’s way) as I’ve not done one for a few years. Imagine a track day run by your grand dad who’s intolerant to any engine louder than his sit on lawn mower.

  7. Ive never owned a bike that passed the noise test.

  8. I took my RC8R up there to be tested, it blew 118db, the bloke with the meter went into cardiac arrest. But thats what you get when you insist a V twin is revved to three quarters maximum revs.

  9. The noise test is more punitive than preventative...:poop:

  10. It's booked though classic track days.

  11. Unless Castle Combe have ‘surrendered’ one of their noisy days I’d imagine you’ll still have to come in under the ‘just a little louder than a babies fart’ noise limit. CC have very few noisy days and what they have goes on race days where the circuit makes more money than for renting out the circuit for track days.
Just make sure you’ve got some baffles.

  12. Not been on a bike but was bumpy as hell at one time - actually broke a shock absorber there a lot of years ago

  13. On the plus side, its got a cracking little cafe there.

  14. Don't they do a lot of TT testing there, 'cus of the bumpiness?

  15. The surface is much better, not quite as bump as it used to be. Did a cheeky day there last year and the 999r flooded with old plugs so wouldn't fire into life.

Ended up running around on the Multi, it was a right laugh knee down and annoying people on the ridiculous bike!

  16. One thing people don’t like is a multi in the fast group overtaking them ;)
