    Cats...

I admit i’m no fan but....

We’ve 2 Cats, Sisters Inka and Ebony 13 human years old ..

Two or three weeks ago Inka was seen twice laying on her side and really crying in a horrible way one never seen before by us.. We also noticed she has breathing heavily..

We actually made an appointment to take her to the vets but before we could..

Last week she disappeared, again unlike her. No sign of her whatsoever. We searched everywhere we could but nothing, i even took up a couple of decking planks to see if she had gone under there..

I confess my efforts where more for Mrs N than for the cat but hey..

Yesterday, one week later she appears out of the blue laying in the garden, i picked her up and she was really struggling to breath etc, i brought her indoors and Mrs N tried to feed her etc but she didn’t want to know.

20 mins later Mrs N came outdoors in floods of tears saying Inka was not breathing anymore, yes she died on the kitchen floor with her Sister Ebony laying next to her licking over inkas fur as if she was cleaning her..

I must admit even I a West Ham lad etc found it sad..

It’s like she made a huge effort to come back home, just to pass away?

Anyone else experienced anything like this with a mogg... ?

  2. Sorry for your loss.

Yes, unfortunately. One of my cats died from hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (an unknown-to-us heart problem) and went in a similar way. Pets will quite often know the end is coming and will run away to try and deal with it, only to come back when they realise they are done.

  3. Sort of although we had her put to sleep, looks like she was run over and missing for 2 days.

  4. yep sadly had a young cat hit by a car crawl back to the home and passed away almost as soon as he got there..
Pets, are part of the family, I guess it goes both ways

  6. Funny thing cats.... I've had a few over the years, they definitely have personalities and good/bad traits.

Currently have 1 who's now around 11 or so, his brother was unfortunately put down some years ago after having numerous back surgeries to remove a tumor, he was still bright eyed and just as happy as he always was but couldn't walk on his back legs anymore, that hurt putting him down.

The one that's still with us was never a lap cat until his brother was put down, but since then he has become that and for some odd reason wants to spend all of his time sat on my lap, god knows why... if not that he's out killing mice, rats, baby hares and happily dragging them through the cat flap to show us his catch of the day.

    RIP furry friend.

  7. Apparently I read somewhere on the inter web that some smart twat has worked out that the cat is demonstrating his great hunting skillz and pointing out your lack of skillz in that there department.

I’d like to add that although cats might be skilled hunters they’re crap at opening tins of Cat food, so fck off Tiddles no one likes a show off.

  8. Sad times mate. Sounds like they made it home after an accident, be thankful you got chance to know what happened and say goodbye :upyeah:

  9.
  10. Were her paws scuffed ?
Cats are often hit by idiots car drivers and their diaphragms get ruptured and don't show any marks but bleed into their chest, causing it hard to breathe.

  11. That’s poss i guess but no obvious signs on the paws .. X
