Part way round tour of black forest and france noticed stand rubbing on exhaust collector box. Rubber damper had melted. Anybody else had this happen. Found an excelant Ducati dealer in Waldshut had a couple on the shelf so fitted a new one and got a spare. Done about 5.5k miles at the time
Hi Topher just had to replace mine too after 90,000 miles, got it from MotoRapido in winchester only a couple of quid :smile: same one on the 1200 as the 1000DS.
Common problem mate , mine went at about 6.000 miles , Elsewhere on here this subject has been discussed at length and I belive that there should be another rubber on the cat box itself which was missing from new on a lot of bikes , It was certainly missing on mine and the rubber on the stand slowly melted away , Ive got a 1970s Suzuki rubber on mine at the mo while the dealer gets me another
Thanks for the replies guys..... Just home from a 2800 mile circuit of Germany and France, its reassuring to get a bit of advice when your a long way from home.
