Whilst doing a bit or exhaust research I came across this bike which has had the full system ceramic coated black. I may well look into this as a few of the bikes I have looked at have had corrosion or staining on the manifolds and pipework and I think this look really suits the bike. What do you think?
I think there's a place in Warrington called 'Camcoat performance coatings ' do it. I haven't got a link but Google it.
I got a quote from Zircotec for the headers in 'Chilli Red' and they said £150+VAT and shipping. Not too bad of a deal really I don't think! If you go for the cheaper black option it's actually cheaper than that again. It was Ian Bowman I spoke to via email if anyone is interested in it.
Yes. Zircotec did mine but I had the performance coating as they didn't have the mororbike specific one launched / three years ago and 17k they still look ok
Right then, I contacted Performance One Coatings who are in Oxfordshire. They have said that to coat the pipework in satin black is £129 +Vat and the silencers £90 +Vat. Collection & delivery is on top of this. Not bad pricing I think. I'm almost certain I'll get the pipework done. (just need to buy a bike to do it on first)
I prefer them as standard Another worry would be stone chips ?! Can see why people might like it though
Hi yes Wilf at MR also said it noticed when he custom mapped it Supposed to reduce by 1/3rd from memory but nothing to support that
The scaldy look of the end cans in between the standard pipes is sh!t looking imo, all rusty and brown. These bikes aint cheap as it is.
Skid06 - Those look amazing! I'm really torn between getting the cosmetic ceramic vs. the thermal coat stuff. It seems most of the coatings that are actual thermal barriers don't have that sleek, polished look...
