1200 DVT Chain And Sprockets Style

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Vtwin4fun, Jun 16, 2020.

  1. Hi all, is it just me that doesn't like the look of the solid rear aftermarket sprockets from the likes of jt etc.
I much prefer the OEM look with the holes. Does anyone use renthal as the pic looks like it might have holes in but it could be a stock picture. Was also thinking supersprox so if anyone has those fitted pics would be great. My OEM is doing ok at just over 11k miles but when the time comes it would be good to know. Will be fitting DID zxvm or whatever it's called as I've had over 40k miles from one of those on an sv1k and still loads of life left so gets my vote. Also is stock 15-40 530 108 links? Cheers

  2. I only got about 12000 miles with that DID. Then got Afam and it’s still going strong on 20000 miles

  3. Here's a blingy Supersprox one:

  4. I've just gone with the SuperSprox, 42T great improvement, and the DID chain. Expensive but worth it.

  5. Stock is 15/40......

  6. Like the supersprox one a lot. Not overly bothered about going up 2 on the rear.
Could I ask exige where you got it from and what front sprocket did you use? Cheers

  7. Not sure what's on the front but it was already on a 1098R I bought, not a Multistrada

  8. If anyone is interested I have an OEM chain, unused that came off my new 1260 a couple of months ago.

I had an Afam chain fitted from new.

  11. Andy, do you need the renthal sprocket carrier specifically or is that just for ease of changing sprockets?

  12. You need it, I've used a JT carrier before, much cheaper than the Renthal
They are for ease of changing, 5 bolts and the sprocket is off.
Not sure what set ups are available for the Multi's.
Personally I prefer the look over standard set up

  13. Yep I think it'll be renthal rear with a DID chain. Definitely like the look of that. Cheers

  14. As long as you're aware that the Renthal sprockets are aluminium and won't last anywhere near as long as steel or a Supersprox with steel teeth !

  15. @Vtwin4fun
You have plenty of options Bro. Here's some:
ESJOT Stainless Steel with DID chain
Black Superlite steel with quick change carrier and EK Black / Gold chain.

  16. Had a look at Calsport, ebay, etc. can't seem to find where to buy just the coloured plate for the Supersprox rear ???

  17. If you're referring to the red retainer flange in my picture, you are unlikely to find one the same as it's an official Ducati Performance product from several years ago, but coloured similar versions are available from the likes of AEM factory and Ducabike on the Conquest Racing website.
